Happy Thursday all! Here is #2 installment in the 12 projects for Christmas. This is a project that simply shows how to personalize and liven-up premade diecuts. This is a premade diecut sheet by My Mind's Eye:
And here is how I spruced up the tags:
Nothing difficult, just enough to give the diecut tags your own flavor. I simply gave the tags a little penache with some layering of the tags, inking around the edges, added some gemstones, buttons twine and ribbon....giving premade items a little handmade touch...easy, peasy! The kits for these tags are available here at the store.
Here is December's paper crafting kit,~A Winter Color Palette.~:
The kit includes 10 patterned papers, 6 Bazzill cardstock papers, white glittered American Crafts thickers, some holiday diecut 'bisque board,' Basic Gray rubons, 3 yards of ribbon, a Bazzill tag, border transparencies, and all in a silvery-white/blue/brown color pallette....all very enticing and perfect for winter/snow projects! If anyonw has any clues to give me on how to photograph pre-packaged items and not have the glare of the packing occur...I'd love to know...and I do shoot without a flash.
On another note, Stan got our tree last night! It's a big 'ol 10 footer, and as far as I can see, it's beautiful! He got it from the Redmond baseball team, they are trying to raise funds, so if you are in the market for really good-looking fresh tree, check them out...I mean this beats out any we have gotten in recent years from tree stands. Of course, I have to wait to put it up, and adhere to Stan's system for fresh trees, which includes re-cutting the trunk a bit and leaving in a 5 gallon bucket for a few days so it can drink up as much water as possible, climatizing it to warmer temperatures while it is in the garage before moving it inside (the garage sure smells yummy and like Christmas when I pull in at night :). Seth gets home tonight from college (YEAH....always makes me happy when my kids come home), and Griffin has his last final on Friday, so they'll both be here this week-end and can help Stan set the tree up, and I'm sure I'll be working on it all of the week-end nights....I can't wait...the boxes of ornaments have been in the hallway all week torturing me....I keep sneaking into them, getting glimpses of my precious Radko's :)
More of my 12 Projects later...have a great night!
Suzanne,
I use a polarizer lens for my camera that will take glare away. Hope it works for you.
